The Konpira Maru crew are a force of nature. Spread across the East Coast they consistently release ultra-drinkable, ultra-value, minimal intervention wines from select vineyards in Victoria and Queensland. This release comes from the high altitude, alpine region of Whitlands, on the edge of the King Valley. Surprisingly ripe fruit is balanced out by textbook Whitlands acidity, creating power and lightness. Slightly oxidative, generous lines of nougat, cashew, and a savoury edge round out the palate. Yum.
