Petit-Roy Bourgogne Aligoté

Origin: Savigny-les-Beaune, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy

A 0.2 ha Vineyard Planted in 1983, on clay-limestone and marl soil. Ferments for 2 months in barrel with no added sulfur. Aged in old oak for a further 9 months, then racked with a small amount of sulphur. No fining, no filtration, bottled before the next harvest.

A serious Aligote that can age, from a real up and comer who's done the hard yards. Seiichi Saito, originally from Japan, has worked with Simone Bize, Mugnier, Rousseau and Leflaive.
