Michèle Aubéry-Laurent & Philippe Laurent together had been making some of the most interesting wines in the Southern Rhone. That was until he sadly died in 1999. Since then the former nurse has pushed the wines into true cult status, making distinctive, expressive and avant garde wines. Maxime, her son, has now joined the family buisness, in many ways taking the wines to new levels.

As a style the wines are in many ways 'old fashioned', pre technology/ industrial. Gravity fed winery.

Mostly Syrah. The Belle Sortie is unlike any Cote du Rhone you may have had. Not dense and big, but bright and brood. It's in no ways new wave light, but in no ways old school gloup. It's real, authentic. A fire sider, not a party starter,
