The Kleinknecht family are one of the original Organic farming families in the village of Mittelbergheim.

Alsace is similar to Burgundy, with vineyards being ranked. Individuals and names matter. This village have noteworthy Minimal Intervention, Organic & Biodynamic groweres like Rieffel, Rohr & Emile Setz.

Pierre Frick, the iconoclast in some ways, was a big influence. As such the wines are more left-field, dramatic and utterly compelling.

This Orange Wine is an interesting one. All the grape varieties are fermented together for 3 weeks, then pressed off to barrel.  Lovely Stuff.
