Based in Monferrato since 1854. These wines are not as 'rustic' as many of the other traditional local producers. Tettimorra is a one hectare vineyard near the village of La Morra at an elevation of 300 meters. La Scarpa are a producer on the rise. Having based most their history around the lesser known local varieties (Ruche and the lis) they are making exceptionally elegant Barolo’s. The 2012 was not lauded on release but time has been kind and the wind has softened, got more earthy and is really showing those moreish truffle aromas. Proper luxury.
